JAMESTOWN, NEW YORK (August 17, 2011) – Cornell Cooperative Extension of Chautauqua County’s 4-H program is proud to exhibit display at the New York State Fair with Cattaraugus and Allegany counties. For the first time in history the 4-H programs of Chautauqua, Cattaraugus, and Allegany have come together to display craft projects at the Great New York State Fair.
120 projects, 40 from each county, ranging from woodworking and electrical, to ceramics and sewing are on display the entire duration of The Great New York State Fair in the 4-H Youth Exhibit Building. Exhibits, will not be evaluated by State Fair judging teams but will be on display for the public to view and each have received an honorary State Fair rosette.
Youth from Chautauqua County also have animals on exhibit at The Great New York State Fair. Horses, Dogs, Sheep, and Dairy Cattle are represented in Syracuse.
